American Traffic Solutions (ATS) - Fleet is a leader in Toll & Violations Management Solutions, along with License and Titling services. ATS delivers Toll and Violation Management solutions to not only fleets but also Toll Authorities and Municipalities. In addition, ATS works with rental car companies and fleet management companies to offer services that include vehicle registration & titling, registration renewal management, duplicate title/re-titling, and state change of title management (including new license plates).

ATS' Mesa office is hiring a Director, Software Delivery. The successful individual will be responsible for leading the vision and direction of product development and for management of resources for their business units focus area. This individual will manage a team of personnel who design, develop, and support applications to meet business requirements. The Director will deliver product and feature roadmaps and provide overall leadership and day to day management for a team of software development professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively drives the development life-cycle from requirements analysis, feasibility estimates, design, code, documentation, testing, implementation, and support
  • Meets business needs by managing the activities of developers consistently delivering quality solutions on-time, within budget, and scope
  • Ensure design specifications are fully and correctly defined and documented
  • Developing project plans and managing development timelines
  • Building and managing multi-disciplined software teams and overseeing the development processes using industry best practices
  • Oversight and management of department expenses and budget planning

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BS in Computer Science or related degree
  • 10+  years of significant software development leadership experience
  • Broad understanding and experience developing new software applications from concepts through to product launches and post support activities
  • Extensive experience developing and leading cross functional teams in a variety of development disciplines including software architecture, database design, web development, quality assurance testing and automation
  • Ability to comprehend overall product vision and participate in feature definition process with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must possess creative and analytical problem-solving and exceptional technical skills
  • Experience with enterprise development tools and methodologies (agile/extreme)
  • Emphasis on software quality assurance, testing, and test automation
  • Must be familiar with the Microsoft Suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer and Visual Studio for development
